About

About

Imani Anderson is an artist and designer based in Philadelphia, PA. Raised in Alabama, she developed an early love of art and later studied graphic design at the Savannah College of Art and Design. While building her career in design, she also cultivated a personal artistic practice rooted in ceramics and other mediums.

Anderson’s ceramic work is inspired by the organic forms and visual textures found in nature, with roots in African traditions of pottery and basketweaving. The stillness of the natural world is carried into each piece, creating space for ritual—to pause, reflect, or express gratitude. Her process involves material experimentation through the interplay of clay and raffia, alongside intuitive form-making, resulting in work that feels both grounded and expressive.
